Betrayal

I certainly couldn’t have said it better.

At what point can you fire the entire government?

Call your congressperson and demand they vote NO on the current bill, and its betrayal of the American people. This should not stand. I, for one, will not vote for anyone who supports this travesty.

Reid, Pelosi – you should be ashamed.

I know I certainly am.

My step brother is set for retirement from the Marines in two years. He’s home for a month right now, before heading out on his third tour in this war. For the sake of his three young children, I hope he makes it back ok.

But I have mixed feelings. I mean he knew this would happen when he voted for Bush *again*. He told me as much. “Republicans keep me in a job” he said. Statements like that make it harder for me to feel sorry for him, and other soldiers like him.

For the record, Congresswoman Barbara Lee is planning on voting “no” on the supplemental. I found this out by calling the number on the link in the post. Call your Congressperson, and ask them to vote “no.”

Look – realistically? Chances are it won’t help. But if enough Democrats vote no on this stupid thing, it’ll hopefully show Pelosi, Reid and Co. that while they turned to gutless cowards, not everyone else did as well.
